This paper assesses the readiness of Philippine schools to implement the MATATAG Curriculum in preparing students for college programs in Food Technology and Nutrition & Dietetics. While the curriculum promotes simplified, life-relevant learning, gaps remain in science instruction, teacher training, laboratory facilities, and curriculum alignment. The study highlights the need for stronger school-industry partnerships and targeted support to ensure students gain the skills and foundation needed for future food and nutrition careers.
